Student Support
College planning for students who benefit from emotional, executive functioning, or learning support
The college process can feel especially overwhelming for students navigating anxiety, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, learning differences, depression, or autism.

These students are often bright and capable - but stress, uncertainty, and pressure can interfere with confidence, motivation, and follow-through.

GCC focuses on supporting the whole student, not just the application.
Emotional Support
• managing anxiety and application stress
• reducing perfectionism and shutdown
• building confidence with decision-making
• creating a safe space to process fears about transition
Executive Function & Accountability
• breaking tasks into manageable steps
• realistic timelines and flexible pacing
• support with organization, initiation, and follow-through
• gentle accountability without pressure
College Fit with Support in Mind
• identifying campuses with strong student support
• guidance around accommodations and services
• evaluating environment, housing, and transition supports
• prioritizing well-being alongside academic fit
Art & Drama for Self-Expression
For many neurodivergent students, traditional conversation-based support is not always the most comfortable or effective way to process emotions, build coping skills, or communicate experiences
Individual classes are available to students of all ages and abilities
• emotional expression that feels safer than verbal processing
• development of coping and self-regulation skills
• confidence in communication and identity exploration
• perspective-taking and social understanding
• stress reduction and anxiety management
